A Message from Dr. Patti Hort
I have the pleasure and privilege to work jointly with health care practitioners from many disciplines (chiropractors, midwives, doulas, medical doctors, OB's, physical therapists, homeopaths, naturopaths, massage therapists, lactation consultants etc.) I know that our working together to achieve the best results for our patients is a goal we share. My practice, and the team that I have hand picked to work with me at Dr. For Moms Wellness Center, is focused on the care of pregnant women, post partum women and their children. Our treatments, therapies and expertise along with your expertise, support their needs throughout the perinatal period.
In the spirit of collaboration and providing the best possible care, I have included this section on my site to help us work together as best we can. I have provided a few tips as far as referral times and described some of the treatment programs we offer that you may want more information on or may not be aware of. My philosophy is to work collaboratively with all of you, with a respectful desire for knowledge and sharing of information.
I welcome you to review the information below or anywhere on the site. I also welcome your comments and any questions you may have.
I gladly accept your referrals of pregnancy and pediatric patients for temporary or joint care related to in-utero constraint, symphysis pubis dysfunction, disc conditions, pelvic floor concerns (or other complicated conditions associated with pregnancy and post partum) as well as plagiocephaly, torticollis and hip dysplasia in peds.
I consider it my responsibility to provide the best possible care to your patient, to offer specialized support and advice and guide them through a treatment care program ultimately returning them to your care or work jointly with you until I am no longer needed.

I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to work with you to help your clients/patients have the pregnancy, childbirth and life with baby experience they want to have. If you have a patient who is experiencing pain (LBP, sciatica, disc, symphysis pubis, SI, round ligament, rib, thoracic etc.) or who has limited mobility, I would be pleased to see them. For in-utero constraint/breech patients, ideally I would like to see them at or before 34 weeks. If that is not an option, I would see them as soon as possible.
Plagiocephaly/torticollis/brachial plexus injuries
Chiropractic care and physical therapy prove to be a successful approach to correcting these conditions with not only results of an esthetic nature, but also of restored joint mobility, muscle tone and range of motion - structure and function. We most often find our patients' conditions resolved by the time they get to their appointment at the Children's Hospital (head shape clinic). The parents are being told to "continue what you are doing, because it is working." My philosophy - that function is of great importance and working together is key.
