Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a powerful way to tune into the bodies innate intelligence and abilities of self-healing. For example, our physical, emotional and mental bodies are shaped by life’s experiences (i.e. joy, grief, trauma, injury etc.) which create patterns that can become held within our bodies and tissues. These structural patterns typically manifest as symptoms within the body creating holding patterns where tissues are unable to move and optimally function with ease. The practitioner facilitates a space for you to gently release held structures and create a reorganization of the body towards self-regulation and balance.
At the first session you will discuss your current health status and past medical history with your practitioner. A session then begins by lying, fully clothed, on a massage table or in a position of comfort. The practitioner will typically be seated, lightly touching at specific locations such as the ankles, head, shoulders, sacrum (tailbone), or other areas requiring attention. Throughout a session the client normally feels heat variances, subtle movements within the physical body and a release of tension and or stress. It is typical, after a series of sessions, to develop an increased perception of the physical structures of the body in relationship to health.
